I’m lucky that I get to participate in an artwork swap with other consultants each new catalog release. Each of us take a new paper pack and create art using just that paper pack. The we swap them out. My friend Michelle choose the Magnifique paper pack. When I first saw this paper I immediately thought of the photos from my sister’s wedding. But you can see Michelle thought of her trip to NY with her cute hubbie. Then Michelle submitted the same artwork to Close To My Heart and WON a contest! This is my take on Michelle’s layout.
As you can see I rotated the layout to accomodate a vertical photo where she had a horizontal photo as her main photo. Then I added a title to the bottom of the 2nd page where she has a title on the first page. This is the beauty of the patterns from Close To My Heart. (This one is from the new Magic book that features a lot of interactive elements.) You can rotate layouts to match your photos.

A Magnifique Anniversary

Today is my sister and her husband’s 7th Wedding Anniversary. And I just finally scrapbooked the photos!
When I first saw this paper at our CTMH national convention this summer the first thing I thought of was to use it to scrapbook my sisters wedding photos. I have a ton of photos from that day that I had never scrapbooked because either I didn’t have the right paper to go with or the right stamps or the time. I also had soooo many photos that I was perplexed on how to scrapbook them. A whole album? A few pages? A mini album? Pick just the best pictures and do one page? But when we did our make and take at convention we made a fabulous fold out 12×12 page where we could include a TON of photos on one layout. Viola! Here was the answer to my question.
