Teacher Appreciation Luncheon 2011

The most popular postings on my blog are my Teacher Appreciation postings.  Every day, somebody is somewhere searching for Teacher Appreciation ideas and my blog comes up in the search.  This is so great for the teachers of the world who deserve all the praise & appreciation they can get for all the sacrifices they make to educate our children.  As a member of our school board I also see how much it costs to educate our children and how much is involved in the running of our school.  My hat is off to the teachers, staff and administrators of the world!  Any kudos they can get they deserve every bit of it.

Now the entrepreneur in me sees an opportunity to make custom invites for teacher appreciation week.  Hmmmm….

For the 4th year now I’ve contributed to our Teacher Appreciation luncheon by making invitations.   This year our theme was a dainty Tea Party:  complete with tea cups, doily’s, fresh flowers, quiche, soup & fruit salad.   Card design inspired by fellow CTMH consultant, Lisa Stenz.

All supplies available from Close To My Heart.

Recipe:  Tea Time stamp set, Blush Cardstock & stamp pad, Chocolate stamp pad, That’s Amore paper (retired), Baby Pink ribbon (retired) & 3-D foam tape.

Teacher Appreciation Invite

For the 3rd year in a row I participated in our Teacher Appreciation event at our kids school.  I volunteered to make the invitations for the “blast-off” breakfast and the luncheon.  Sadly, I didn’t save a copy of the luncheon invite.  And after making 71 of them I’m not sure I feel like making another one to show you.  Maybe I can find someone who has a copy and I’ll take a picture of their copy.  I actually liked the luncheon invite better than the breakfast invite too!

As you can tell our theme this year was a space theme.  We wanted to express our thanks by letting our teachers know they are “Out of this World.”

The week started with a “Blast-Off Breakfast.”  Other events included snack carts with donated goodies, a gourmet coffee cart, a salad luncheon and dessert bar.  We also had the kids express their appreciation on die-cut stars & planets.  Those were used as decoration throughout the school.  In addition to decorating each teachers door (I’ll share the one I did in another post) and decorating the main school entrance.
