Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet niece
Yipee! It’s Rachel Rosalie’s birthday! The theme is cupcakes (and of course, I just happened to have the perfect stamp set for it.) I hope I get a nice face-full-of-frosting bday picture. It’s so fun to have a baby in the family. Wish we lived closer though…
Receipe: Cupcake Sprinkles, More to Adore paper pack (Retired), Blush stamp pad & brads, Hollyhock stamp pad, Chocolate stamp pad & ribbon, framed fun dimensional elements and corner rounder

22 years ago today …
was much like today. We woke up to snow that morning (10/10/87) and today (10/10/09) it is also snowing. I don’t recall any other Oct. 10th that it has snowed in Nebraska.
Here’s a picture out my back door this a.m.

Here’s a picture from 10-10-87 out my parents back door

Why is this day so memorable? It’s our 22nd Wedding Anniversary!

By the way, I just recently looked up my wedding receipts and my dress and veil only cost $400! After watching the TLC show “Say Yes to the Dress” with dresses costing thousands and thousands I got off cheap. But then again it was 22 years ago. Look at that poofy veil!
Here we are just a few years ago at my parent’s 50th anniversary in nearly the same spot. Just to make this semi-scrapbook related I sharing a scrapbook page I made with this photo.

Happy Anniversary to my honey. Too bad he’s in CA now. Booo Hooo…

I’m Twitterpated!
Ok, I had never heard of this word, Twitterpated, before the CTMH Autumn/Winter Idea Book was released. Now I get it! It means enamored or flighty, excited feeling. And that I am with this paper pack from CTMH. There are six patterns in the pack perfect for nature pictures, fall pictures, heritage pictures and more. Here is my layout featuring Twitterpated. I will put our family portrait on the left page and pictures of my parents and my husbands parents on the right side for the family tree side.

Thanks to my friend-Shannon-for the inspiration for this layout. I almost completely stamplifted it. Shannon is a great artist and a great friend!
Something I really liked on Shannon’s layout was the base pages were embossed and sanded to look like a brick wall. To do so, simply use your paper trimmer with the scorer blade and score a line every 2″. Turn a quarter turn and score every 4″ alternating lines. So one line would be 4″ and 8″ and the other 2″, 6″ and 10″. Then sand the raised lines.
Recipe:
Twitterpated paper pack, Grown with Love stamp set, Field Trip Alphabet, Hodge Podge alphabet, Chocolate stamp pad, Chocolate ribbon, colonial white brads and eyelets, Basic craft buttons, Dimensional Elements booksmart and Sorbet waxy flax.
