Tip of the week – Spinner Card
June 10, 2009
It’s been awhile since I made a penny spinner card and the Gear Up stamps were just screaming out to me to be made into a spinner card.

I first took a plain white card base and punched a 1/2″ circle on each side of the card. Be sure to line up your circles. I used a pencil line & ruler to help me. Then put the card base in your trimmer and cut two parellel lines between the circles to form the slot. If you are using patterned paper over your card base cut that to size and adhere over the card base. I flipped the card upside down so I could repeat the circles and lines.

You can see the inside of your card due to the slot so don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too. (This is a trend that card makers are starting to do – decorate the inside of the card with coordinating paper and stamps.)

I stamped the gears on paper and cut those out. Using a round 3-D foam dot put one side on the back of the gears. FIt into your slot and add a penny on the other side (a flat button would work also.)
Have fun rolling your gears up and down the card! This would also make a fun bday card with balloons.
